What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is a safe and effective treatment used for the removal of unwanted hair, moles, sebaceous cysts, milia, skin tags, warts and blood spots.

How long is a treatment and how may will I require?

Length of treatment depends on the problem and our electrolysis specialist will advise you during your consultation. Results are instantaneous in many cases. A treatment plan will ensure treatment intervals are carefully considered.

Are there any side effects?

Redness, stinging, scabbing, bruising, mild swelling of the areas being treated.

Who should not have Electrolysis?

If you have any of the following you will be unsuitable for treatment - Pace Maker, Haemophilia, Internal Auditory Devices (hearing aid).

If you have any of the following you may be unsuitable for treatment - Cancer, Diabetes, Epilepsy, AIDS/HIV, Heart/circulatory Diseases, Hepatitis, Keloid Scarring, Metal Pins, Pregnancy, Skin Diseases and Disorders.

How much will it cost?

The Initial Consultation & patch test fee is £20.  Prices for the treatment will be from £50 depending on the area and type of electrolysis treatment needed and your electrolysis specialist will discuss this with you at your initial consultation. Mole revision £250.

Aftercare instructions:

Will depend on the area and type of electrolysis treatment but in most cases:

- Do not touch the treated area and do not remove any scab that may appear.
- Apply aftercare product regularly, with clean fresh cotton wool, until the area has completely healed.
- Wash or cleanse using a gentle soap/perfume free cleanser. Gently pat dry with disposable towels or tissues.
- Avoid UV Light and excessive exposure to sun.
- Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, facial steaming, facial scrubs, waxing and other beauty treatments in the area until completely healed.
- Avoid using perfumes, fake tan products or perfumed body lotions.
